SUMMARY:Music at the Institute – Vivo a Cappella Quartet
DESCRIPTION:Vivo\nVivo is a vibrant a cappella ensemble, blending rich musical harmonies and entertaining audiences across the South East.  With a diverse and engaging repertoire spanning folk, pop, rock, gospel, medieval and madrigal pieces, the group brings both versatility and energy to their performance.\nMembers of the Leatherhead Community Association or the Leatherhead Music on Thursdays group get a reduced price ticket for this event.  Young people (under 26) also get a reduced price.\nTickets are £12 full price, £10 for members and £5 for people under 26. Click here ( https://www.tickettailor.com/events/leatherheadcommunityassociation1/2145783 ) to buy them online from Ticket Tailor. You can also buy them in the LCA office at the Institute on weekday mornings.\nThe ensemble is made up of Emily Kay, Sally Edwards, Feonia French and Anna Diepstratena, four accomplished and passionate singers, each bringing their own unique musical style. Initially coming together as singers at Leatherhead Choral Society, Vivo re-formed following the challenges of communal gathering under covid as a pop-up mini choir of four which has gone from strength-to-strength.\nVivo has performed for Mole Valley Arts Alive, local WI and charity groups as well as assembling an exciting repertoire of sea shanties for the upcoming Mevagissy 2026, a celebration of maritime culture and music. Sally performs with Leatherhead’s Show Choir, Anna and Feonia perform with The Vaughan Williams Singers and Emily, Anna and Feonia sing with the church choir at St Mary’s Fetcham.  The gang have recently made their pantomime debut, delighting audiences as singers, pirates and a pesky band of rats in The Cobham Player’s January 2026 run of ‘Dick Whittington’.\nFeonia performs locally with band Sneaky Dans.  Emily writes her own music and entertained us last year with her dad Hedley Kay.  Together, Vivo creates a fun and broad listening experience, united by a shared love of harmony.\nDoors open at 7pm, the performance starts at 7:30pm.  The programme is about two hours long including a twenty minute interval.  We do not have an alcohol licence but if you are of age you are welcome to bring your own. There are supermarkets nearby.  We will provide glasses.  You can also make tea and coffee in our kitchen.\n \nGetting to the Leatherhead Institute\nThe Institute is at the top of Leatherhead High Street, KT22 8AH, on the corner with Leret Way. Leatherhead is served by bus from Kingston and by bus and train from Guildford, Dorking and Epsom. Nearby car parks are the Swan Centre multi-storey on Leret Way (KT22 7JL) and the surface car park on Station Road (KT22 7AF). Both are free after 6pm.\n
