Royal Opera House Visit
Operas and Ballets have been performed on Bow Street, Covent Garden, since 1732 however it was not until 1892 that the building was named The Royal Opera House.
Today, the Victorian building (two earlier buildings were destroyed by fire) is home to The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and The Orchestra of the Royal Opera and holds 150 performances a year.
On this 75 minute tour we take a look at areas that are normally off-limits to the public including rehearsal studios, costumes and production
workshops to delve into the many secrets. With it being a working theatre, the departments visited will vary.
This tour will involve a fair amount of walking and standing.
