LCA Coach Trip- Chatham Docks

(C) Neal Street Productions

From the mid 16th Century until the mid 1980s Chatham Dockyard was a base for the British Navy. With buildings dating from the Georgian and Victorian periods and its cobbled streets, it is now a museum and used as a film set notably as Poplar in ‘Call the Midwife’.

On this official 90 minute tour you will be guided through the Dockyard by your very own ‘Midwife’, armed with a photograph book and tales of their ‘sisters’, before being allowed to explore the sets, costumes and props in the all-new, exclusive gallery.

In the afternoon there is time to explore the rest of the site– from Victorian ropemaking to cold war submarines, there is a lot to see.
