LCA London Walk – Whitehall Dissected

Whitehall Dissected
Wednesday 15 July at 11.30am

£14.50 per member

Whitehall began life as a muddy track but has become the most important street in Britain. It houses the Ministry of Defence, the Cabinet Office and much of the Foreign Office. It is recognised as the centre of the Government of the UK.

On this guided walk you will hear how it evolved from Henry VIII to Nelson, from Churchill to the mysterious “C” and eventually to those who run our country today.

It takes you from bearbaiting and jousting to spies and secret tunnels, double agents to rogues. You’ll be shown hidden signs, coded symbols and other easily missed secret clues.
