If you have been past the Institute in the last couple of week you will have seen the front of the building wrapped in scaffolding.
As part of the window update programme, the Leatherhead Institute Trustees have been undertaking repairs to the stone and brick work on the building. Alan and his team have been painstakingly rebuilding the lettering around the main entrance to reinstate the tribute to Abraham Dixon.
The full works will be visible to public from Wednesday 13 September, just in time for Heritage Open Days. Some low level work may still be taking place on Friday 15 September but it will not interfere with the activities going on. It will be some heritage preservation in action!
